Suggest Remedy For Headache With Dizziness

Yesterday, I had a sudden bout of dizziness (light headedness, room kind of swirling),followed by sickness feeling in my stomach. Today my right hand feels cold, and a bit tingly, and my right fingers and my left foot feels a tiny bit the same. The dizziness is not as pronounced as it was yesterday, just slight. My husband has a bad cold, and I don t know if these could be symptoms of me catching it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Headache and dizziness are commonly caused by dehydration, hypertension, vision problems & vertigo (inner ear problem).

Other medical conditions can be cold, sinus issues, migraine, stress & tensions.

You are suggested to keep yourself well rehydrated. Take ORS, soups, water & juice. If hypertensive then get control of your blood pressure urgently (take prescription medicines for hypertension).

Tingly feeling can be due to peripheral nerve damage. If diabetic keep your blood glucose levels under control.

Take Acetaminophen (tylenol) or Ibuprofen(motrin/advil), one sos when required. Massage your neck & temples with pain relieving ointment & get relieved of any stress, anxiety & tensions.

You can get your vision checked to rule out any eye sight issue. Get clinically examined by an ENT to rule out migraine, vertigo , sinus, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
