Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Swelling

I have had abdominal swellling for about two weeks. They did an x Ray which showed nothing and blood work the urinalysis was fine although I do have a iron deficiency. I am worried I am internally bleeding which may cause the anemia? Should I be concerned.?

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

After going through your question, I can understand your concern.

You have mentioned that you have underwent primary evaluation for abdominal swelling (distention) and which is normal.

I will advise further evaluation only if there is -
1) Abdominal pain.
2) Fever.
3) Vomiting.
4) Loose motions or constipation.

If these symptoms present then there may be need for detailed clinical examination and imaging of abdomen by using ultrasound and if required CT scan.

For iron deficiency there may be need for oral or intravenous iron replacement depending upon iron studies (Serum Iron, TIBC, Saturation, Ferritin level)

Hope this helps you, if so do vote as helpful.
