Suggest Remedy Fever Blisters With Urinary Incontinence

I am a 5'0 tall woman weighing 150 lbs. I teach school and recently contracted the flu. My doctor gave me codine cough syrup and motrine and told me not to return to work until Monday. My fever seems to be down but I now have fever blisters and am having a terrible time with urinary incontinence when I cough. (The Codine does not seem to be helping). Should I just wait this out or call my doctor back?

Hi
1-fever blisters are due to herpes simplex-just wait -otherwise apply acyclovir cream locally
2-urinary incontinence is normal in females due to short urethra
3-For cough consult your doctor back
4-doctor would advise urinalysis, blood for CBC to rule out bacterial infection cause of cough
I find this answer helpful
