Suggest Remedies For High BP And Constant Headache

My fatheraged 75+ is daibetic since last 10 + years, although his sugar level is well in control. He takes glynase tablet. Since last few dayz his BP started to climb and reached as high as 180/100. We suggested a doctor, he started Remistar and 2 other medicines whose commercial names are Eslo and GLA. After taking this prescription his BP lowered and reached around 140/80, but he has continuous headache that too very severe. Plz advise me what to do?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome.
This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist.
High bp could be a cause of persistent headache. So as the bp is now controlled, the headache should go gradually. Continue taking the bp medication & decrease salt in diet. You can give Tab Paracetamol for headache & if this headache persists despite having controlled bp you should see a neurologist for further evaluation & management.
Thanks
