Suggest Permanent Treatment For Patchy And Itchy Spots On Skin

I have been experiencing patchy, scaly, itchy spots on my skin which appeared to start with itchy ears. I have tried a steroid cream as well as other topical treatment, and get relief for periods of time but not permanent. In addition, the patches are only on my front upper body. As they heal, they leave what appears to be a lightening of my skin color.

My Dear

Welcome to this site!

I have noted your history and think that you are having a fungal infection known as Pityriasis versicolor. This infection typically affects upper half of body and is characteristically associated with skin color lightening.

The first thing that you need to do is to reduce your sweating and maintain better hygiene than at present.
A Selenium Sulfide preparation applied after dilution to affected areas and a little beyond at night works very well when performed every week and allowed to stay in place overnight.

Additional help from Fluconazole as 400 mg tablet once in a fortnight for first month has been found d to be extremely helpful in most adult patients.

You will benefit if these suggestions are clubbed with daily application of a watery solution of Clotrimazole.

The rash disappears gradually and I would request you to be more patient due to this factor. Best wishes
