Suggest Natural Remedies For Child Suffering From Scabies

Yes please! My 12 year old son was finally diagnosed with scabies after being misdiagnosed for months that he had eczema. I am very upset and worried that my 13 month old has to use that toxic cream. Are there safer natural remedies? Can she use a sulfur ointment? I read that is safer for pregnant women and babies.

Hello,

As per your history, it may be due scabies.

For that, you can apply permethrin ointment locally after itching.

Give tab loratadine for itching. Do bath twice a day.

Use separate clothes and do not share with others.

Along with that maintain proper hygiene and avoid itching as it may cause infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
