Suggest Medication For Sore And Stabbing Pain While Passing Stools
I think I may have Hermorroids. I did for a short time have a small lump at my rectum however that has dissapered and I have sharp stabbing pain when I pass solids. There is no noticable bleeding however the pain is really sore and seems to be constantly there. I bought preparation H clear gel. Will this help me get rid of the problem or will I need to go to my GP for a more long term solution.
I would be very grateful if someone could please help.
Pain during passing motion, no bleeding, small tags in front or back with or without tenderness indicate that you have most probably a condition called Fissure-in-ano. This can be confirmed by a proper examination by your Doctor.
Hence you need to consult your Doctor, get a referral for a General Surgeon for examination, get investigations as required.
Also do the following: -Sitz bath in a tub with warm water. -Take laxatives to keep the stool soft. -High fiber diet.
All these things will heal up the fissure. And if there are any associated problems like piles or so, these can be operated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
