Suggest Medication For Pain Management After Heart Surgery

Complication after Mycardial Infraction-STEM-RETROPERITONEAL BLEED.
My husband is home from hospital after having one stent put in during his heart attack and the bleed after the femoral artery puncture resulted in about three litres of blood lose into his body cavity. He has quite a lot of pain when he tries to move. The bruising is getting better but his discomfort is obvious. Is there a safe pain medication available. We are using Arnica and a warm heat pad with Paracetamol every four hours. (Admitted 12 June. Discharged 16 June) Thank you. He is 54 years old 93 kgs.187 cm tall.Male line has significant heart problems.
