i have a lump in my breast i went to have a mammogram and they said everything seemed fine but i got a call today and my doctor wants me to go to a general surgeon to have it removed im 24. why would they want to remove it if they feel everything is fine?
1.Possibily there could be some findings suspicious to become malignant. 2.Even the lump in the breast when it grows to a volume that symmetry lost with mass effect - so in that there is necessary to remove. 3.Before excision - an FNAC fine needle aspiration cytology is recommended. 4.After evaluating the cells operative procedure is planned. 5.Always a mammogram should be correlated by the ultrasound breast. Good luck.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
