Suggest Medication For Flu During Pregnancy

hello, i am 17 weeks pregnant, and i have had the flu, although i am now coming good (after being bed ridden for a week) i am concerned about the amount of phlegm i have swallowed and the damage it could have caused my unborn baby?? my GP put me on Penicillin which i am still taking, (have 3 days left) also with the amount of caughing, sneezing and blowing my nose i have hurt my abdominal muscles but i have also hurt further down in my pelvis... Is this just muscular pain or could i have done some damage to my uterus?? Thankyou

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion neither the phlem which you swallowed does not cause any harm to baby nor sneezing, coughing or blowing. As you are on penicillin the infection will be cleared. Dont worry. But recurrent infections might lead to preterm labour. So take healthy nutritional diet and keep your HB at optimum level to prevent infections.Take adequate fluids upto 3 litres to prevent urinary infections.
