Suggest Medication And Dosage For Anger Issues In A Child

My son has been on Daytrona patch since 3rd grade for ADD. He s been at max dose since 9th grade. In the past month it s ability to assist him to focus has greatly dissipated. Pediatrician tried Concerta 54 tablet, he was fine 6 to 10 AM then complete emotional & mental shutdown, then depression. Pediatrician reverted back to patch with a 10mg booster in morning. By 11 AM my son is having anger issues. Before any changed he has not exhibitted any emotional & mental shutdown or anger issues. Don t know where to find the proper medication adjustments.

Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
The stimulant medications are known to have these kind of side effects. I would suggest you try non stimulant medication for him like Atomoxitine. Kindly talk to your doctor regarding this. Also try anger management training for him where he is taught how to express his anger in a non damaging way.
I hope I have helped you
Thank you.
