Suggest Floor Exercises To Tone Body Without Putting Pressure On Broken Ankles

Hi, A few months ago i broke both my ankles. Although i can walk now and put sufficient pressure on both my feet, i cannot do exercises like running or jogging without experiencing a fair amount of pain and swelling around my ankles. I used to be very active and I would like to stay that way in a safe and less painful way. Is there any way you could recommend floor exercises that would tone my butt, abs and thighs without putting too much pressure on my ankles. Also i eat 2 eggs a day, would that increase my cholesterol to dangerous levels, or is it safe to continue eating that amount daily?! Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have gone thru your query and found that you cannot do exercises like running or jogging without experiencing a fair amount of pain and swelling around your ankles .
Dear , though it is a matter of concern ,but thank god ,you can walk now and put sufficient pressure on both your feet so workouts should not be problem for you .
Only thing you have to take into account is that while exercising you should not over exert using your ankles .
Try few exercises to tone op your body :-
1. Deep Breathing -Inhale - Hold - exhale - Hold 10-20 times is best to detoxify your system .
2. Walk a little in slow motion , for 5 mins in the begining to start with Increase time & intensity , gradualy .
2. Do rotate your head ,neck shoulders & waist with hands spread in front , left , front and then right , Do 10 times .

3. Sit on chair . Raise your right leg in front parllel to your seat . Raise your hands above your head . bend your body ,first back then in front to hold your feet with both hands stretch your body as uch as you can . Take care , not to let your elbows or knees bend . Come back on normal posture .Relax .
2. Yogic postures like Kapalbhati , Agnisar , Naukasan ( boat ) Bhujjang asan , Dhanurassan are best for toning up your body under guidance of professional .You can look for Baba Ramdev's CD , is available all over the world in yoga centers or stores .
A balanced diet which include all essential nutrients is equally important .

Lemon juice with warm water helps a lot in energising
Turmeric powder a level spoon with hot milk at bed time is great antioxidant & healing agent for swelling .
Keep hyderated youself as it saves greater damage to muscles and increase the body’s ability to repair itself .

Avoid processed foods carbs , sugar , fried ,fast foods , Tea , coffee ,alcohol and smoking , stress , sleeplessness and Constipation all will produce biochemical and metabolic conditions in your body that will decrease your immunity.
So avoiding is definitely the first step in the right direction to detoxing the body, boosting the immune system .
