HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Your optimal weight is determined by your height. Normally the BMI (body mass index ) determines whether a person's weight is too low, good or too high for their height.

It is calculated by dividing the weight (in Kg) by the height (in meters and squared) or there are online calculators available.

If your BMI is within normal range then it would be best to maintain your weight because this would improve your diabetic control. Excess weight would not only affect your blood sugars but blood pressure and cholesterol.

If your BMI shows that you need to gain weight, then you may want to determine how much weight is needed to put you at normal weight.
Because you are a diabetic then you should consider consulting a nutritionist if you need to regain weight.

I hope this helps
