Suggest Chances Of Pregnancy With Ovary Drilling?

Hi, I am Nomita , 29 Yrs, I am having PCOD and i m trying to get concieve from last 2 yrs.. I was pregenant 1 yr before but now after a long treatement i m not getting pregenant. 1 IUI has been done but unsuccesfull. Doc suggested me for 2 nd IUI with the med Divery, Fertzol and Metmorpin. Doctor suggested me if thsi time pregency will not happen then we have to take the next step i.e Ovary drilling..

Doctoe My question is it really safe to do the Ovary drilling? Is it increases the pregency rate?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion pcod is a condition where in there is problem in ovulation.So ovulation induction drugs with IUI form the first line of treatment.This can be tried for 4-6 cycles.For the treament of pcod hormonal pills are precribed for those not wanting pregnancy.But for those who planning pregnancy ovulation induction drugs like clomifene is given or ovarian drilling is suggested.Dont worry.Ovarian drilling is 80-90% effective in inducing ovulation and there by pregnancy where in the clomifene is 40-60%.So you can opt the choice.If you are overweight or obese even weight reduction is most important in the treatment of pcod and it helps in regularisation of cycles.
