Suggest An Alternative To Lithobid

My daughter swears she feels better on Lithobid than she does on Lithium ER generic. I wouldn t have believed this til I had the same experience with bupropion. Are we both nuts? Her insurance thru ACA won t cover Lithobid. We can t afford Lithobid. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Lithobid(Lithium Carbonate) and Lithium ER (extended release)Generic (Lithium Carbonate) are the same and should have the same effects or efficacy.

Lithium plain Generic (Lithium Carbonate) can be used in place of ER form but dosage should be the same. You may talk to your prescribing Psychiatrist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
