Suggest Alternative Medication For Thalazole For A Person With Diverticulitis

Hi My mother suffers from diverticulitis and continual pain. She used to take thalazole which helped with the pain. She can no longer get the medication in Australia. Any ideas or is there something else she can take. She can t stomach antibiotics anymore. Thanks Gabriella Australia

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it is advisable to have antibiotic if this is the history of diverticulitis and best medicine would be "Tab Ciprofloxacin 500 mg" twice in day for five days if it is the painful condition then antispasmodic medicine can be taken, hope this information helps.
