Suggest Alternative For Fosomax

I have osteoporosis in my back and bone scan says my bones are brittle, I am 66yrs old and reluctant to go on fosomax. can you explain to me the other alternative by injection I do get pain in my back often at present, . I would prefer to do naturally by diet and exercise as mention on reviews. thank you for your time. Carole

Hi,
It seems you have already progressed to increased osteoporosis. I noticed that you seem to not want fosomax. It belongs to biphosphonate group and similar infusions annually once taken are available. You can take this infusion annually once. Renal toxicity is important complication and get a renal function test done to rule out any preceding renal problems.
Follow up with bone mineral density can be done after two years to check for improvement.
Medications are necessary. Along with it, exercises, nutritional diet, and supplement with calcium and vitamin D.
