Suggest Alternate Medicine For Xanax
My daughter has been taking Xanax for 20 years. Her Dr. will not fill another prescription because she has quit her practice. My daughter has a new Dr. with her 1st appt. in early May but until then we are very worried about what will happen without the daily supply of Xanax. Is there something she can take to get her by until her new Dr. prescribes Xanax.

I think, she does not have any another alternative. In benzodiazepine dependence, either we use longer acting benzodiazepine or sedative antidepressants, but both of these, you can't get without prescription. In that case, you can try to consult another psychiatrist who can give to appointment a little bit earlier.
