Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son has been sick for 4 days, I had taken him to his Dr. on Monday and she said there is nothing she could do since he has an upper respiratory infection. My concern is that he has been running a fever since Sunday, anywhere between 100-102. His pupils are also dilated pretty large, just wandering what to do. Thanks
Hi.Viral infection may lead to fever, secondary infection.Nothing to worry. Please take good antibiotic and antipyretic. The antipyretic should be taken in sufficient dose, atleast 4 times daily.Regarding pupils, they will be examined with torchlight, not with naked eye.Any how, viral fever needs symptomatic treatment.Everything will be subsided soon. All the best
