Suffering From Sharp, Chronic Lower Left Abdominal Pain, Getting Worse. What Should I Do?

Hi, I m an 18 female suffering from sharp, chronic lower left abdominal pain for over a week now. At first I thought it was just stress , but it has been constant everyday and has been getting worse. I only get relief sometimes when i position myself differently. It hurts a lot too when I apply pressure or exert force, like going to the bathroom. Although I have had no trouble with going.

Hi,

The two closest possibilities would be a stone in the urinary system or some pathology in the fallopian tubes - salpingitis.

The third possibility is just a non-specific colitis. You would benefit largely by getting an ultrasound scan of the whole abdomen including pelvis done. I think you are in much pain and I wish you did not suffer more. Please take over the counter available antispasmodics like Dicyclomine, together with Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen.

Do not wait longer; please fix an appointment at your doctor's office at the earliest.

Get well soon.
