Suffering From High Fever. Taking Ibuprofen, Ofloxacin And Flexon. Not Decreasing. Is It A Concern?

I am a man of 46 years. Suffering from fever ranges 103 f. with body and head ache. Initially i have taken paracetamol 1000 mg every 6 hours but no fever came down then started flexon (ibuprofen 400 mg and paracetamol 1000 mg) 8 hourly. Fever came down in 95 f. After 1 hour of flexon. It s remain for few hours and gradually fever increased and reached in the same level. I have consulted a physician, he has examined and given for some tests including urine culture. He advised me to start ofloxacin 400 and flexon every 12 hours (ibuprofen 200 + Paracetamol 500) for every 8 hours. I have started the medicines. Now the question is after 3 to 4 hours of medicine fever goes down 95 or 96 degree f. And feeling very much weakness. Is anything going to be wrong with me? My Dr. is in leave today.

hello , thanks for posting ur query at hcm
according to ur history u have developed high grade fever not responding to standard antipyretic doses.but u have not mentioned since how many days u r having this fever. also not mentioned is the presence or absence of any associated symptoms like diarrhoea, cough etc. just based on ur history we can say that u have developed some sort of systemic infection with parasitological, bacterial or viral organism. the organism can be diagnosed with a series of investigation which u seem to have undergone but the results r not shown. ur doctor has started u on ofloxacin an antibiotic since he may be suspecting a bacterial infection. any severe infection will take some time before the antibiotic starts acting. because of such relapsing high fever ur body is beginning to feel weak. so my advice to u would be to continue ur medication as prescribed, have faith in ur doctor. once test results r out curative treatment can be given.
thank u and best of luck
