Suffering From Food Positioning After Eating Chicken Wings

Several family members have symptoms of food poisoning. We ate chicken wings and 3 out of the 5 of us are ill. Vomitting, diarriah,(sorry I can't spell this word). We had different kinds of wings and 2 didn't eat the one type of wing we ate. So that is why I think it was the wings. What can we do? Or how can we find out it is the wings vs. the flu?

Hello dear,
Vomiting and diarrhea following food intake, especially for multiple members, indicates food poisoning rather than flu.
The main management is prompt correction of any dehydration, and maintainance of hydration. If vomiting does not prevents oral sips, this can be done with ORS sips(250 ml after each stools,in small frequent sips).Usually comes down in 3-5 days.Else, intravenous fluids are needed. If you have blood in stools/pain on passing stools/fever,you may need antibiotics also. For this, your doctor will guide you.
Hope you got cleared.Thank you.
