Suffering From Crohn S Disease & Experiencing Delay In Periods With Vaginal Bleeding After Unsafe Sex

unexplained bleeding hello. I am a newly wed and not using any birth control methods or protection. before around 4 days of my expected menstrual period I saw some vaginal bleeding., on that same day we had intercourse. it was bright red but was not heavy at all, no smell, no pain except some cramping but not so severe as when I have my period so I didn t need medicine to relief the pain. however I needed a pad because the flow did not stop. I experienced also severe lower back pain and fatigue at the first day. Today is the third day. on the second and third day I feel completely normal, the back pain became better and the flow is about to stop. I am afraid to tell my mother or someone from the family because I don t want to worry them if it s nothing. Today I am supposed to have my regular period which usually lasts for 6 days. My last period was on 17 July and the next one usually comes 2 days before the prior month, so which means it s today the 15th. I am a 22 year old female, 48 kg=106 lb, and 162 cm=5 ft 3 in. I am also a patient of a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (crohn s disease) since 2001. I take 1 tablet of Pentasa 500 mg daily, 1 tablet of Imuran 50 mg daily. Also my aunt, a gynecologist, adviced to take 1 tablet of folic acid 1 mg daily as it would h,elp in pregnancy. Thank you so much and hope to find a reply from you soon. If you have any questions or need more information, please don t hesitate to contact me. Thank you again.

Your case is very simple and its nothing abnormal. To cover the possible iron deficiency you are already on folic acid. Periods coming some days early is not labelled as disease.

However we give to our such patients, any Ayurveda preparations containing Ashoka herb (Sarca indica). It's friend of women from menarche to menopause. Even healthy women may take it. Regular m.c., no iron deficiency, no lumbago, no abdominal pain and no endometrial problem can be achieved by this single herb.

For inflammatory bowel disease a very simple combo of digestive herbs in powder form, as well as some liquid made of Aloe vera and other herbs are given for few weeks to correct the ailment.

For the time being you may opt to make it a habit to consume fresh buttermilk with 1/2 tsp of roasted cumin seeds powder + little salt mixed in it for few weeks. It's what we successfully give as a starter for such problems. Choice is yours.

If you need further guidance, pl consult through direct question on HCM platform.

Hope it helps you.
