Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description it seems you are having alopecia areata.
The prescription provided will definitely give you results.
One should always trust one's doctor more than people who do not have a thorough knowledge of the subject.
Deflazacort is a steroid but the safest steroid amongst all. Your doctor is providing high doses of a steroid for a short while ie two days/week. This is known as steroid pulse therapy. Pulse therapy provides maximum benefit with minimal side effect of the drug. Another tablet immumod is tinocordin which is an immunomodulator. As alopecia areata is an auto immune disease we need drugs that modulate immunity. Follifast tincture induces hair by its irritant action. So please continue the treatment for a month and follow up with your dermatologist again. Use of these drugs beyond a month without doctor's permission is completely prohibited.
Hope that helped.
