Pus coming from a bed sore is a sign of infection ;as your father is bed ridden please get a doctor to see him.He will require regular dressing & cleaning of the bed sore & also a antibiotic to control & cure the infection.
Wish him a speedy recovery.
Hi, Bed sores are usually due to pressure on that part. so see that he doesn't get much pressure on that part. Use airbed or water bed. Good nursing care is required with antibiotics. His blood sugar should be well controlled.

My 47 year old son is a quad. Thankfully we do not have any real problems with pressure sores. However, he does periodically get a pressure sore on the outside of his left ankle. It seems to happen even though we are careful about keeping that area of this foot off of the bed. I do use Silvercel on it to draw out infection, etc. I was just wondering if I could use the silvadene on the wound instead of the silvercel. Would it be more beneficial? Sore about size of end of thumb.
