Struggling With Depression And Terrible Anxiety, Taking Wellbutrin. How Often Can I Take Xanax ?
I have been struggling with depression and terrible anxiety--I started taking wellbutrin ten days ago---trying to be patient, not sure if it is helping. Also have .25 mg Xanax---that need to take about 4 times a day to get the elephant to move off my chest. How often I take it? sometimes after an hour I need to take another one. Trying not to mix alcohal in there, but we are social drinkers and honestly a little vodka helps with the anxiety.

Hi. have you been prescribed welbutrin or are you taking it by yourself? because welbutrin is known to exacerbate anxiety & related physical manifestations during the initial 2-3 weeks of starting the dose. What dose of welbutrin you are taking? If you can elaborate your symptoms in further detail, deciding the exact diagnosis & further plan of action will become easier. As of now, you can ask your doctor to change welbutrin to a SSRI group of drug like paroxetine & for the time being (a week or so) continue taking Xanax under medical supervision to control episodic anxiety.
