Strong Cough, Starts With Tickling Sensation, Persists To Heavy Coughing After Drinking Alcohol. Causes?

Hi, I ve noticed that lately after a night of heavy alcohol drinking that I have a strong cough for the following week. It usually starts off with a tickly in my throat and then persists to heavy cough with some clear mucous. This is perhaps the 8th time this year that I ve had this problem. I am perfectly healthy in every other way.

Hi
Whatever may be the mechanism of cough, the treatment seems simple - stop alcohol!
Heavy drinking before the episodes suggest aspiration or reflux (from stomach to food pipe and more), as the most likely cause.
PPI (proton Pump Inhibitors) and pro-motility medicines may be of help
Seeing a doctor during an episode will help the dianosis
Good luck
