Stretch Marks Present Under Knee, Reddish Blue Line Over Them, Severe Pain. Treatment?
Hi doc, I have stretch marks under my knee and from the last 1.5 yrs I used to have severe pain (so much that i usually fall down)whenever i am in the running position and get up suddenly or while i mop the floor . last month i found I have strange red and blue line over the stretch marks . i have a baby of 1.8 months. Kindly help

Red and blue streaks suggest varicose veins, it can be just cosmetic problem but it may present with pain and difficulty in walking. it is more common in women, may be predisposed by contraceptive pills, pregnancy or long standing.
Exercise, compression stockings and avoiding constricting postures (like crossing your legs when seated) can help ease discomfort.sclerotherapy and surgery needed in sever cases.
You should also check blood glucose levels (for diabetes) and vit C deficiency which may present with purplish discoloration and rashes.
