Sticky Acidic Stools. Difficulty In Eating. Had Appendicitis Surgery

For a couple of days now, most of my bowel movements have been a gooey acidic substance. Also, a very light almost green brown acidic liquid has been oozing slowly out of my anus . Having a little trouble eating, but nothing too serious. Could this be something serious? Not sure if this matters but about a month ago I had my appendix removed.

Hello, hcsdpro,
First of all , let me assure you that your appendix surgery has nothing do
with the problem. However, If you were put on antibiotics during your
surgery or after , it is possible to develop an infection by C-Difficile
bacteria that can cause alteration of your stools. Most often this is
associated with diarrhea and sometimes with blood. That could be mild,
moderate or severe. If you have been treated with antibiotics ,I would
recommend that you have your stool tested for C-Diff Toxins A & B.
If positive you will need treatment.
Wish you well.

General Surgeon Dr. Grzegorz Stanko's  Response
Hello!
There is a chance that what you describing is a fatty stool. This kind of stool appears in pancreas diseases. Mostly this stools are smell badly.
It might be also a mucous in your stool, what can be caused by many intestine diseases (to many to mention all of them).
That is why you should have blood test, liver and pancreas enzymes tests performed, abdomen ultrasound and colonoscopy.
Take care
