Started Using Trigestrel Changing From Triphasil. Are There Any Side Effects ?

I started using Trigestrel 6 months ago been on triphasil for 3 months. Are there going to be any kind of side effects that I have to look out for. I see on the internet that there are many problems with the Tregestrel pill . Like bleeding for a month or longer and a brown mucous discharge . I used to be on triphasil but since the clinic don't stock the pill anymore i had no choice. Now in the last 6 months i start my period one week before i go into the red pills and have pain in my lower back and lower tummy and megrains, mood swings.

Hi and thanks for the query,
The drugs have associated side effects, especially with weight changes and menstrual irregularities. However, it might necessary to know if other associated signs like intermittent heat or cold sensations. If present, the manifestations like migraines and mood swings could be early signs of menopause. It is however not rare to observe them also under pills. However, early menopause is a stronger possibility in this case. Because of the pain, a clinical review and an abdominal ultrasound could be useful in the evaluation process.
I suggest you consult a gynecologist. thanks and kind regards.
