Stabbing Pain In Uterus, Spotting, Earlier Period. Suggestions?
I have been cramping very bad for about a week and a half now. i began spotting and a few days later got my period, except this period came earlier than usual ( i normally get it around the 12th of each month). i normally do not have very heavy blood or clots but i have been for 3 days now, and ive been having very excruciating stabbing pains in my uterus
your complaints point towards dysmennorhea. it can be associated with the heavy blood flow and clots. Menstrual pain is due menstrual uterine contractions, which are generally of higher strength, duration and frequency than in the rest of the menstrual cycle. Dysmenorrhea can feature different kinds of pain, including sharp, throbbing, dull, nauseating, burning, or shooting pain. hence you experiencing stabbing pain is normal Its due to changes in hormonal levels in the body that occur with ovulation.
secondly the menstrual cycle is considered normal when it is around 28 days(1 week before and after teh date is considered normal)
it is not a cause for worry.and if pain persists,NSAID's or COX-2 inhibitors can be used.
thank you, wishing you good health.
