Stabbing Pain In Ribs, Difficult To Breathe, Bend Sideways. Possible Cause?
Hi, I am feeling a sharp stabbing pain that feels like it starts at the anterior 9th-ish rib at the sternocostal joint. It feels like it stabs through my left lung all the way to the articulation of the rib with the spinal column. I can't tell if I feel it more in the sternocostal joint or in the lung, the pain is minimal near the spinal column. It is very difficult to breathe or bend sideways and forward. Can you tell me what you think?
Hi, It seems that you are having Costo-chondritis at sterno-costal joint giving rise to this problem. Apply some analgesic cream locally. Take analgesic for pain as and when required. There is rare possibility of having heart ailment so go for EKG and rule out cardiac problem. Ok and take care.
