Spoltchy Red Pattern On Upper Outer Right Thigh Spreading To Knee And Shin. No Raised Skin Or Itching. Thoughts?

I noticed a splotchy red pattern on my upper outer right thigh yesterday. It does not itch, does not have a bite mark and is under the skin but is not raised. When I woke this morning it was still present but was lighter red. This afternoon I noticed the same red pattern on my left knee and shin with same characteristics as first occurrence. Is this something I need to have checked out?
