Sore Throat With Bumps On Back Of Throat. Prescribed Methylprednisolone. Why Is This Drug Prescribed?
my 17 year old son was prescribed methylprednisolone for a persistent sore throat with bumps in that back of the throat. the insert provided with the drug, which i read from cover to cover, does not indicate use for sore throat or any ear nose throat issue at all for that matter. So why would the dr. prescribe this drug?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Cover to cover , you read , that's very nice thing. You know methylprednisole are prescribed for inflammation in the throat and also for as an anti infection in few cases. As you mentioned in your query that in the throat of your son there are bumps , so treating doctor may have prescribed this drug for bumps. Good luck. Dr. HET
