I am 47 yrs. my periods are heavy . in my sonography report Uterus : Anteverted, Bulky in size measures 10.5 X 6.5 X 5.2 cms. with Heterogeneous Echotexture . Impression : Bulky Uterus with Heterogeneous Echotexture . What is mean by that? pl. suggest ayurvedic medicines and ayurvedic centres near kalyan, dist.thane. Is operation is must in my case? Pl. answer early. thanks.
Hi, Thanks for the query. According to your ultrasound report, you may be having adenomyosis. Means development of endometrial layer in the middle myometrial layer. That can present with symptoms like heavy bleeding, pain abdomen etc. Usually surgery is the treatment of choice for adenomyosis. But as you are nearing menopause, you can use hormonal pills for few months. By this the symptoms will decrease. And after attaining menopause usually the growth of endometrial tissue will cease. You discuss these with your doctor and follow her advice. Take care.
