Hi

An allergy to a mouthwash is pretty rare.

You may have come down with a viral infection, and the mouth wash must have irritated the already inflamed throat.

Just do some steaming, salt-water gargles and have lots of fluids. You should be fine. Stop the mouth wash till your throat feels better.

If you develop fever, or the cough becomes worse, then visit your family physician.

All the best!
