Small Lump In Mid Torso Above Ribs, Pain When Applied Pressure. History Of Heavy Work Outs In Gym 4 Days Back. Concerning?
I have a small lump on the right side of my rear mid torso right on top of one of my ribs, it doesnt exactly hurt but I feel an applied pressure in certain positions more so when I bend over and it is in that particular area near the lump that I feel the pain this just started today in the car on the way home, I have recently enter into a gym and am doing heavy work outs but I have not gone in four days could that be the cause or is this something more that I should worry about.
A lump over the torso that is painful in certain position suggests muscular pain. Is there any history of trauma to that particular area? A X-ray chest will help to determine any abnormality of the bony rib cage or any soft tissue swelling. In case the swelling is due to soft tissue swelling, an aspiration cytology of the swelling needs to be done. The aspiration cytology will sample the cells of the swelling and characterize thetype of lesion. Consult your physician for clinical examination and relevant investigations.
