Small, Flat, Red Circles Near Wrist With Darker Shade In Middle. No Itching, Pain Or Dryness. No Other Symptoms. Serious?

Hi,

I just discovered three small flat red circles near my right wrist. They are not itchy, painful, or dry, and they fade when I press on them. The center of each circle is a lighter red than the outline, and they quite resemble ringworm, but after researching the symptoms/causes of ringworm, it doesn't seem to match for me. They seem to be fading away, but I'm worried that they might signify something serious. Is it possible that these circles are simply discolorations and non-serious? I'm a 21-year-old female with no history of serious illnesses and allergies. Please help! :/

Hello,

thanks for writing here.

It seems you are having pitryiasis rosecea.

It usually starts by large patches followed by crops of small patches in group.

It is a self limiting condition and you need not to worry much about it.

You can just apply a plane emollient for few days.

Take care.
