We got the stool test done and following is the result which is highlighted: Pus cells: 10 - 15/hpf RBCs: 2-3/hpf Others: cysts 1-3/hfp i want to know how bad is the situation? Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
your baby is having dysentry and worm infestation.
There is nothing to panic as it is common and treatable with medicines.
you can give Syp. Normetrogyl to the baby. once the dysentry has subsided we can plan for worm infestation by giving Syp. Albendazole.
Continue breastfeeding normally for every one to two hours.
Thank you...
