Skin Tag Near Vagina. Have Been Sexually Monogamous For Couple Of Years. What Does It Indicate?

First things first, I have a small looking skin tag on the side of my leg near my vagina and I did some research to see if skin tags, genital warts, or herpes can hurt and every single one of them usually do not hurt. But skin tags can be irritated by the rubbing of clothes against it. I have been with the same person for 2 years. There should be no way of me having an STD. What could be possible diagnosis?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

It is unlikely to be due to STD. Herpes will not persists continuously. It will have vesicle and ulcers of self healing type and not persist for more than two weeks.
Genital warts may likely to grow in size or spread to other parts. If it is viral warts your partner also likely to have.
So it could be a skin tag or a benign papilloma from some of the skin appendages and nothing to worry about the same.
If you are particular in removing the same, there are multiple modalities are available like diathermy cauterization, chemical cauterization or by Cryo therapy or with laser.
If you approach a Dermatologist, he can decide the appropriate mode of treatment, you need and the specimen can be sent for Histo-pathological examination for the exact confirmation of the further management if any.
