Should Yellow Fever Vaccination Not Be Given To Patients With Tumor?
I am going to Africa and need a Yellow Fever vaccination. I am 64 and in good health other than high blood pressure and cholestoral (on medication for both situations) I had a Pituitary Tumour (benign) removed 5 years ago and do not have any problems other than headaches.I am not on any medication for this. Are there problems as I have been told I should not have the vaccination if I have had a tumour.
Thanks for your question on HCM. No, you can take vaccine. No harm in it. And there are no such contraindications for yellow fever vaccine administration. The only contraindication is acute infection. If you are not having any symptoms, and you are fit than you can definitely take yellow fever vaccine. No harm in it.
