General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

If I were your doctor, I would advise you to undergo a laparoscopic cholecystectomy which is quite safe in expert hands. The symptoms of GERD itself could also be due to the symptomatic cholelithiasis which itself is an indication for surgery. Till then, you can go for an anti spasmodic, a proton pump inhibitor, and bland diet without any oil or fat. However, I would also advise you not to delay your surgery and consult a laparoscopic surgeon in your area.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
