Should I Be Concerned As My Son Is Having Powdery And Whitish Bowels With Lots Of Fresh Blood?
My 2yr old son has been suffering from constipation for a week or 2. He has just opened his bowels this evening and it is vey powdery and whiteish and lots of fresh blood
Would the blood be from straining or should I be more concerned?
He has a large vertical hernia in his abdomen which he was born with.

Hard, powdery, white motions stained with blood suggests that he is feeding on formula.
Give him plenty of water, leafy vegetables and juicy fruits.
Feed him with high residue and fiber containing foods.
The bleeding is due to damage of mucous membrane due to passage of hard foecal matter.
