Should Thyronorm Be Taken For Abnormal TSH Level?

hello Doctor,
I am 17 years old. On 7th january my blood test was taken and my TSH level came out to be 9.2.
I have started with homeopathic, a dose of morning and evening but doctors here have recommended to have thyronorm 25mcg along with homeopathic.
My query is that should i take thyronorm as it is said that if u start it once u have to take it for rest of your life.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to use the thyronorm. Low levels of thyroid hormone need to be corrected to avoid the symptoms associated with hypothyroidism and the use of traditional thyroid replacement therapy would be the best option.

There are different causes of hypothyroidism some may be reversible but others may require long term therapy but the benefits of using the medication and correcting your hormone level out weigh any risks.

Persons use these medications long term with no complications.

I hope this helps
