Should Metoprolol Dosage Be Changed If There Is Chest Pain?

I am on metoprolol 25mg once at night. I have been on them for three days then I skipped a day and my blood pressure spiked up to 135/102 this morning. I felt really bad and I had some chest pain. Do I start back on the same doses or cut the dose to half of the 25mg?

Dear sir

No need to increase the doses of metaprolol 25 mg dosage, because it controls the heart rate uniformly.

If you have skipped the dosage of the tablet for a day, no need to worry, even beta blockers are not potent antihypertensive drugs, but it control the heart rate at normal range.

So continue the same dosage of the metaprolol 25 mg.

Thanks
