Should I Stop Taking Metoprolol 50mg (prescribed For Abnormal Heart Beat ) As Its Causing Dizziness?

Hello I wanted to ask I have been on time released Metoprolol 50mg I have only taken it for approx. 4 weeks. I have felt very light headed and dizzy my Cardio. told me to cut it in half so the last two days ive taken half. I feel less dizzy but still somewhat dizzy. Do you think I should just stop taking it? Is it safe to just stop taking it? I was given this med because of a abnormal heart beat at the time of the ER visit. Thanks

Hi i read your query very carefully.

You should stop taking metoprolol to relief the dizziness. It's safe to stop it immediately because you just take the minimal dose of metoprolol (only 25mg).

Hope it was of help!
