Should I Get Myself Checked If I Have Itchy Lips And Raw Mouth After Oral Sex?
Hi, I performed oral sex on a massage therapist this weekend. He additionally came in my mouth and I spit it out. Now I feel as though my lips are itchy and the inside of my mouth is raw. I also noticed a red mark on my face when I woke up this morning. Should I get checked out? I don't want to give my partner anything.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) can transmit via oral route. The infection most commonly transmitted is herpes simplex infection. Herpes simplex infection presents as fluid filled painful vesicles on the lips. Feeling of itchiness on the lips is not suggestive of any STD. You need to get serological tests done for STDs to rule out any of the STD. Avoid sexual contact till you get the results of tests. If there is evidence of infection, you need to get the treatment of the infection.
