Should I Consult A Doctor For The Neck Pain, Nausea And Onset Of Migraine Following A Head Injury?

Hi, I fell back on my couch and hit my head real hard on the board on the back. I did not loose consciousness, however I felt a pain that went right to the front of my head near my eyebrow, became nauseas, and got an instant migrain. I had my daughter bring me ice and I layed on it for 10 minutes. My neck feels achy and I still have a migraine. Should I call my doctor in the morning?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Based on your symptoms, it is unlikely that you have suffered an internal brain injury. So, there is no need to call the doctor in the morning.

You can take diclofenac or ibuprofen tablet for pain relief.

If you develop vomiting, severe headache, fits, drowsiness, etc, then, you may go to the ER and get a brain CT scan done.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
