Should I Be Worried About The Swoollen Glands Under My Chin Post Flu?
I ve had the flu/cold symptoms for the past week, and my glands in my chin under jaw were a little swollen and sore the last couple of days - now not so sore, but swelling has increased noticeably - looks like I have the mumps! Should I just wit and see, or call doctor?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, the swelling appears to be the submandibular gland swelling. Mumps is the swelling of the parotid gland. The submandibular glands can swell with the infection of the oral cavity, and now due to the infection of the throat. I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms erythromycin, phenylephrine, citrizine, and paracetamol. wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
