Should I Be Worried About Red Dots Developing On Child S Body/

my 13 month old son has developed over the last several days little red dots. there are currently 6 over different parts of his body. One on the cheek, another on his ear lobe, the rest on differing extremities. they don t look like chicken pox. He eats well, plays well, and his stool is normal. Is there something I should be worried about?

Hi, thank you for posting your query here. What you are describing seems to be mosquito bites, especially since they are on exposed regions like the cheek and hands and have occurred over a few days( which doesnt happen with measles or chickenpox).
I advise you to use a mosquito net around the baby to prevent mosquitoes from biting.
If he develops fever, is fussy or has more red spots over more areas of his body, consult a pediatrician, at present there is no need to be concerned. Hope this helps!
Regards,
Dr. Vaishnavi
